Chemotherapy Side Effects
Chemotherapy is a treatment in which the cancer cells are attacked using drugs.
The chemotherapy side effects mostly depend upon the type of treatment being offered. Most chemotherapy side effects cease only after treatment. The chemotherapy side effects vary from patient to patient. Most of the effects are temporary and disappear once the treatment is over.
The most common chemotherapy side effects are skin problems, fatigue, hair loss, loss of appetite, digestive tract problems, effect on sexual and reproductive organs, and lymphodema.
The powerful drugs used in chemotherapy and hair loss which is a due effect of it may not be noticed till you lose 50% of your hair. Hair usually begin to fall out after 10 to 15 days after the treatment is started and it takes almost four to six weeks to recover your hair from chemotherapy.
Back pain with Chemotherapy is a side effect caused due to the drugs given after the treatment to keep the white blood cells count closer to the normal range. They are usually given by the under-skin-injection,generally one or two days after chemotherapy and its very common for patients to experience bone pain for a few days.
